The experience of using an iPhone can be described as elegant, fantastic and beautiful as millions of happy users around the world can agree to that. iOS however has severe restrictions and limitations, like the fact that it has default apps which users cannot freely change to a third-party, it's underlying structure cannot be customized by programmers, third party developers, and users. If you jailbreak your iPhone, iPad or iPod, you could have greater control of the system software, and many unhappy users have found refuge in those exploits. What normally frustrates jailbreakers is the fact that iOS by default cannot let them customize the experience, like changing the iPhone’s default look with fonts, app layout, or the ability to install apps from somewhere other than the Apple AppStore. Then there is also the issue with default apps. Apps like Safari, Mail, Phone, Messages still remain the default apps in their category, and even if you try to make some tweaks, iOS will always revert to the defaults.

Part 1: What are limitations of iPhone

As with anything that is a machine, the iPhone and its operating system (iOS) has limitations and shortcomings, and for the reasons that we will state below, many users do not find it appealing. Without wasting time, we will begin.

1.Communication limits between installed apps. In fact, the limits can be described as severe, and it also does not have shared storage space for different applications. While exchanging files between installed apps, your free space will be consumed since apps do not share storage space, and this is not the case with other mobile operating systems like Android. Although you can share some files between apps (which have to be physically copied) you cannot download random files to open them later on newly installed apps.

2.3rd party app installations are not supported. Apple’s iOS operating system security is intense to prevent malware, viruses, spyware, etc. from infecting mobile devices, and therefore users can only install apps from the AppStore. If you cannot find the application you are looking for in the AppStore, chances are you might never be able to use it on your iPhone.

3.iOS will not allow you to customize the home screens. You can rearrange applications to where you want (as long as it's not randomly placed on the middle of an empty home screen), you cannot add widgets to the home screens, you cannot change the grid layout, and you cannot adjust app icon sizes. You also cannot customize the lock screen, apart from being able to change the wallpaper.

4.You cannot change default applications for certain activities. If you download a third-party phone app, the default phone app will remain Apple’s own Phone app. If you download a third-party messaging app, the default app will remain Apple’s own Messages app. If you download a third-party gallery app, the default will remain Apple’s own Photos app. The list goes on.

5.You cannot backup apps which users do not use Apple iCloud.

Here are the top 5 reasons for jailbreaking your iPhone:
1.Customize iOS
2.Enhance functionality
3.Install unauthorized apps which are not found on the AppStore
4.Access to the file system
5.Clear cache and free up space

However, jailbreaking poses risks and some of them include:
1.Inability to apply future iOS updates
2.It will void your warranty
3.It might brick your device
4.It might cause security problems (there will be greater risks of spyware, malware and viruses)
5.It might not be as stable

If you do think that jailbreaking is the solution for you, then we will discuss how to do it. The iPhone XR and 11 series have been selling like hotcakes, and we will show you how to jailbreak iPhone XR as well as how to jailbreak iPhone 11.

Part 2: How to jailbreak your iPhone

Although Apple released iOS 13, with robust new features like dark mode, intelligent photo organization, share audio, improves AR creation, looks around mode in Apple Maps and many more features, it's still not enough for some users since it's still limited. Jailbreaking is the only way out and we will explore how to jailbreak iOS 13. In November 2019, checkra1n jailbreak for iOS 13 was discovered and this is based on the checkm8 exploit. Subsequently, they released an update to support iOS 13.3 in December, therefore this exploit currently supports iOS 13 to 13.3, as well as 12.3 to12.4.4. This jailbreak exploits only supports all iPhones and iPad up until the iPhone X, which means it will not support the iPhone XR, XS and 11 series. The good news is Unc0ver released Jailbreak 4.0 which makes it the first jailbreak tool for iPhone XR, XS and 11 series. Both tweaks are semi-tethered which means that you need access to a computer to start the process.

The steps for installing each jailbreak varies depending with the operating system and model of your device. The checkra1n tool is currently only available for Mac OS, but an alternative tool called Ra1nUSB has been developed for Windows and Linux computers. Unc0ver Jailbreak 4.0 is only available on Mac and Linux as of now, and a Windows version is scheduled to be released in the near future.
