User Guide for Leawo Video Converter Ultimate for Mac

Leawo Video Converter Ultimate for Mac offers Mac users ultimate solution to convert Blu-ray, HD video, common video and audio files, burn videos to Blu-ray/DVD disc, folder or ISO files within a few simple clicks, create photo slideshow and burn to Blu-ray/DVD format. To improve movie entertainment, Video Converter Ultimate allows you to select desired subtitles and audio tracks for final results, retouch media files with internal video editor to get customized results, apply 3D movie effect to experience 3D movie making, design disc menu with personal image, video, song, etc. Meanwhile, it could also play back online videos with improved video loading speed and download online videos fast.

Convert Blu-ray/DVD/Video

Step 1 Load source media files

Under the "Convert" tab, click "Add Video" button to load source video or audio files for converting, and click "Add Blu-ray/DVD" button to add Blu-ray or DVD movies for converting. If you want to convert Blu-ray movies, you will be asked to select loading mode after you clicked "Add Blu-ray/DVD" button and selected Blu-ray movies to load: Full Movie, Main Movie and Custom Mode. After loading, you could select subtitles and audio tracks, merge all files into one, play back loaded movies, adjust order, etc.

Step 2 Set output format

Click the drop-down button next to the "Add Photo" button and then select "Change" option to invoke the "Profile" panel, where you could set a format as output format.

Note: You could change the video and audio parameter of the profile you set on "Profile" panel. Click the pencil icon on the profile you selected, or select "Edit" option after you click the drop-down box next to "Add Blu-ray/DVD" button to enter the “Profile Settings” panel. On the Profile Settings panel, you could change Video Codec, Bit Rate, Resolution, Frame Rate, Aspect Ratio, Audio Codec, Channel, Sample Rate, etc.

Step 3 Set output directory

Return to the main interface and then click the big "Convert" button on the sub-menu bar. On the popup sidebar, set output directory in "Save to" box to save the final results.

Step 4 Start conversion

After setting output directory, click the "Convert" button on the bottom of the sidebar to start converting.

Burn video to DVD/Blu-ray

Click the "Burn" button on the menu bar to enter the Burn function module.

Step 1Add source video files

Open the "Burn" tab and then click the "Add Video" button to browse and load source video files into Video Converter Ultimate. Set target disc type (DVD-9, DVD-5, BD25 or BD50), quality and aspect ratio at the bottom. You could play back loaded video files after loading.

Step 2Set disc menu

On the right sidebar, you could select a preset disc menu for the output Blu-ray/DVD movies. By clicking the middle of selected disc menu template, you could call out the disc menu preview panel. By clicking the "Get More" button on the right sidebar, you could download more disc menu templates from Leawo.

Note: You could also design disc menu with your own collections via the internal menu designer. On the disc menu preview panel, click the pencil icon on the sub-menu bar to invoke the disc menu design window. You could import your own image, video or song as background, change main menu and chapter titles, adjust title font, color, position, size, etc.

Step 3 More burning settings

Then, click the green "Burn" button. A sidebar would pop up on the right, on which you need to set "Burn to", "Disc Label" and "Save to" options.

Note: You could burn videos to disc by selecting disc drive in "Burn to" option only when you’ve inserted a blank writable disc into the disc drive.

Step 4 Start burning

Finally, click the "Burn" button on the bottom of the right sidebar to start burning videos files to Blu-ray/DVD movies.

Burn ISO file to disc

Step 1Add ISO file

Insert a blank writable disc into the disc drive beforehand. Then, under the "Burn" tab, set target disc type, quality and aspect ratio at the bottom. Then click the drop-down box next to the "Add Video" button and then select "Add iso file" option. The program would then allow you to browse source ISO files for loading.

Step 2ISO to disc burning settings

After loading source ISO files, the program would pop up an "Add iso file" window to let you set "Copy to" and "Disc Label" boxes.

Step 3Start ISO to disc burning

Click the "Burn" button on the "Add iso file" window to start burning ISO file disc.

Edit video

Under "Convert" and "Burn" tabs, after loading source media files, you could click the "Edit" icon in each title to call out the video editing panel, where you could trim video length, add watermark, adjust video effect, crop video size, add 3D movie effect.

Step 1Trim video length

In "Trim" sub-tab, set the Start Time and End Time values, or directly drag the twin limiters on the playbar to set Trim length. Video Converter Ultimate would only convert the video length you keep.

Step 2Add Watermark

In "Watermark" sub-tab, slide "Watermark" option to green and then you could choose to add either Text watermark or Image watermark. You could input your own words or import your own image as watermark. Watermark could be customized, including: text color, font, size, transparency, position, etc.

Step 3Crop video size

Open the "Crop" sub-tab to remove video margins you don’t want. Select a Zoom type, then set the Left and Top values or directly drag the dot frame on the left Original Preview window. You could also rotate videos to get a special angle of view. The right Output Preview window provides instant preview of cropping.

Step 4 Adjust Effect

Open the "Effect" sub-tab and drag the limiter on Brightness, Saturation, Contrast and VolumeZoom for adjustment. Get instant preview from the right Output Preview window.

Convert 2D to 3D

A 2D to 3D converter is built in to let you convert 2D media files to 3D effects. There’re 6 3D effects available for you to choose: Red/Cyan, Red/Green, Red/Blue, Blue/Yellow, Interleaved, Side by Side. 3D Depth could also be set for more vivid 3D enjoying.

On the video editing panel, open the "3D" sub-tab, slide 3D Mode to green, and then select one of the 6 3D effects and adjust 3D Depth. Selected 3D effect would be instantly reflected on the player above.

Photo Slideshow Maker

Step 1 Add source photos

Open the "Convert" tab and then click the "Add Photo" button to browse and load source photos. Loaded photos would be automatically generated into photo slideshow. You could then play back and edit create photo slideshow.

Step 2 Add output format

Next to the “Add Photo” button, click the drop-down box and then select “Change” option to enter the Profile panel. On the Profile panel, you could select a desired profile as output format.

Step 3 Adjust Profile Settings

Optional: After setting output profile, you could re-open the drop-down box and then select “Edit” option to adjust video and audio parameters of selected profile. On the Profile Settings panel, you could adjust: video codec, quality, bit rate, resolution, frame rate, aspect ratio, audio codec, sample rate, channel, etc. After adjusting, you could even click the “Save to Custom” button to save adjusted profile into Custom group for convenient future use.

Step 4 Set output directory

Click the big green “Convert” button. On the popup sidebar, open the “Save to” box to set output directory to save final results.

Photo Slideshow Burner

Step 1 Add photos

Open the "Burn" tab and then click the "Add Photo" button to browse and load source photos. Video Converter Ultimate would firstly generate the photos into slideshow and then allow you to burn to Blu-ray/DVD format.

Step 2 Set disc menu

After loading, on the right sidebar, you could see different disc menu templates. Select one for the output Blu-ray/DVD photo slideshow. By clicking the middle of selected disc menu template, you could get an instant preview.

Step 3 Design disc menu

Optional: Click the pencil icon on the disc menu preview panel to go to the disc menu designing window. You could then add background music/image/video, change title content and position, adjust text color, size, font, etc.

Step 4 Burning settings

After setting disc menu, click the big green “Burn” button to call out disc burning setting panel, where you could set Burn to, Disc Label and Save to options. To burn photo slideshow to disc, you need firstly insert a blank and writable disc into the disc drive. After setting these options, click the bottom “Burn” button to start burning.

Photo Slideshow Editor

Generated photo slideshows could be edited before converting or burning. Right click the generated slideshow and then select "Edit" option, or directly click the “Edit” icon in generated slideshow title to enter the editing panel.

Step 1 Edit video

Under the “Video” tab, you could add, remove or/and rotate photo, adjust photo position, set output video effect, etc.

Step 2 Add Audio

Under the “Audio” tab, you could add background music, set output audio effect, etc.

Download video

Step 1 Load video URL

Under the "Download" tab, insert the video URL into the address bar, or browse target video via the internal IE browser. This online video downloader program would find target video for you, displaying you with multiple options at different resolution for you to choose from. You could also navigate to the program's Preferences option at the top-left corner and then enter the Downloader box to set directory for saving downloaded videos in the "Save videos to" box.

Step 2 Download videos

Among all listed options by Leawo's YouTube video downloader, select one with the right resolution to download. All downloading videos could be viewed on the "Downloading" section.

Step 3 Manage downloaded videos

After downloading, all downloaded videos could be viewed under the "Downloaded" section. You could play back, delete, and open the file folder of downloaded videos. Also, through right-click, you could add downloaded videos to "Convert" or "Burn" modules of Leawo Video Converter Ultimate for Mac for further converting or burning.
