Most of us never realize we need a voicemail password on our iPhones until that annoying message pops up out of nowhere: “Pass-word Incorrect. Enter voicemail password.” It’s strange that your iPhone keeps asking for voicemail password, even though it hasn't requested the code in the past. This could be especially irritating especially if you have forgotten the password. You do the only thing that makes sense: You try an old voicemail password. It’s wrong. Then, you try your iPhone passcode and it’s wrong too.

The first thing you need to figure out is why my iPhone keeps asking for a voicemail password?

Firstly, you need to know that setting up a voicemail password is always important for security reasons. It helps prevent anyone from accessing your voicemail messages. As much as this is absolutely necessary, it reaches a time when, if you restore your iPhone, it will keep asking for a voicemail password over and over again.

This can also happen when you enter your messagesafter you restored iPhone, updated to the newest iOS, reset all settings, etc. Most probably, it’s caused by some cache files deep in the system.

Apple’s support article on the subject is two sentences long, and asks you to contact your wireless provider or enter your password in the Settings app. It’s not particularly helpful for most people, so we’ll go into a more detailed discussion about how to fix iPhone keeps asking for voicemail password.
