Part 1: Remove DRM from Kobo Desk APP

Step 1：Login into your Kobo Account

Find your downloaded Kobo APP on your PC and enter Kobo account to login. After launching the App, you will see the following interface.

Notice: The eBook from Kobo you want to remove DRM must have been downloaded, and you can check by entering into the “Downloaded” interface.

Step 2: Launch Leawo Prof. DRM

Import the file by clicking “Add Files” on the sub-menu bar or “Add Files” button in the middle of program interface. Or you can directly drag the target file into the frame in the middle of program interface.

Step 3: Add the file

After clicking the ”Add Files” button, a new panel will pop up. Click the refresh icon on ”Kobo” button. All the downloaded books on your Kobo library will be listed on the right frame. Select the book you want to convert and click “add” to import into the program.

Step 4: Set the output format

You can choose an eBook file to click button to view the detailed information and click the “edit” button to select one output format from epub, mobi, azw3, text. “Apply this output format to all eBook file” or “Apply to current book only” by taping the button under the “option” is up to you.

Step 5: Choose the output directory

Click “…” output button at the bottom to select an output directory for saving DRM-free output eBook.

Step 6: Start to remove DRM from Kobo eBook

After set the output directory, you can click the blue “Convert” button at the bottom for changing DRM-protected eBook from Kobo to DRM-free eBook. You can check eBook DRM removal and conversion process through the processing bar.

Part 2: Bypass DRM-protected book from Kobo Devices

If you have the Kobo device, you can refer to the following steps to get the DRM-free eBook.

Step 1: Connect Kobo to your computer

Make sure your Kobo devices have been connected to your computer via USB.

Step 2: Import the file

After kicking off Leawo Prof. DRM, you can import the file by clicking “Add files” and then click refresh button on “E-Devices”. You will see the book show on the right and select the book you want to remove DRM to add into this program.

Step 3: Choose the output directory to save

For saving your converted DRM-free eBook, you can click “…” output button at the bottom of “Home” list to select an output directory.

Step 4: Remove DRM from Kobo

Click the blue “Convert” button at the bottom for removing DRM-protected eBook from Kobo. After a while, the eBook DRM removal and conversion process will be completed. You will get a DRM-free eBook on the directory you set before.
