People who buy Blu-ray discs are way more than those who keeps buying DVDs. One important reason for that is Blu-ray discs are more durable than DVDs. You are less likely to scratch a Blu-ray disc than a DVD disc. But it doesn’t mean there’s nothing to worry about. Blu-ray discs still carry the risk of being damaged. To prevent losing a Blu-ray disc due to damages, making a backup seems like a valid idea. After creating a backup, even if you get the Blu-ray discs damaged, you can still use the backup to create a new copy of the original disc. If you are interested in making backups of your Blu-ray discs, check out what Blu-ray copier software you can use in the content below.

No. 2 Leawo Blu-ray Ripper
The second Blu-ray copier I’d like to recommend to you is Leawo Blu-ray Ripper. Technically, it’s a Blu-ray ripper for users to rip movies off of Blu-ray discs. But the video you get from the program can also be consider as a backup which can also be used to burn to a disc to create a new copy of your original disc with the right program. The most important reason why I would recommend it to you as one of the best Blu-ray copier is that it can rip your Blu-ray collection losslessly with all the data contained in an MKV video with no compression. While you have a video file that has all the data in the original disc, all you need is a suitable disc burning program like Leawo Blu-ray Creator to help you create a new copy of the original disc that’s just as good as the original one regarding quality. Also, lossless MKV is not the only output format the program provides, you can also create a backup of your Blu-ray collection in formats like MP4 which would allow playback on mobile devices. While there will be quality loss, the program managed to keep that to a minimum.
No. 3 MakeMKV
MakeMKV is also mostly known as a Blu-ray ripper. But I think a Blu-ray ripper that can convert your Blu-ray to lossless MKV video is good enough to be qualified as a Blu-ray copier. MakeMKV is capable of creating a lossless MKV video from your Blu-ray disc which can hold all the data in the original disc. It also provides you with a one-month period to use the program for free. But the only output format it provides is MKV.

Step 1. Launch Prof.Media to open Blu-ray Copy. The shortcut key is right on the main interface after you launch Prof.Media. Open Leawo Blu-ray Copy by clicking the Blu-ray Copy tab.
Step 2. If you’ve put the disc in your DVD drive in advance, you can directly import the files in the disc to the program. Just click Add Blu-ray/DVD>Add from CD-ROM and you will see your disc in the menu that follows. Click on it to load the data in the disc.
Step 3. After the program finishes loading, you will see a sidebar on the left with a few options and lists of the video titles, audio tracks and subtitles on the disc. On the right side of the sidebar is a video player for you to play the videos in the disc. The first thing to do in this step is select a copy mode. You can use different copy mode to help you quickly select different content in the disc to save in the copy. Full Movie mode is for copying the whole disc. Main Movie only copies the longest video, which is the main movie. Custom Mode would allow you to select videos, subtitles and audio tracks from the respective lists manually. Choose one mode and then click the disc format drop-down menu at the bottom of the sidebar and select a DVD format for the copy. If the original disc is DVD-9 and you want to perform 1:1 backup, just stick to DVD-9. Also DVD-9 to DVD-5 compression is feasible, just select DVD-5 from the menu.
Step 4. Click the Copy button on top of the video player to call out a new sidebar which would show up above the video player. Check DVD Folder on the top and the program will copy the DVD to your hard drive as a DVD Folder. You can also check ISO File to save the copy to your hard drive as an ISO image. You can check both options at the same time. If you have one more DVD burner connected to your computer, you can put a disc in it and select it as the target from the drop-down menu of the third option next to DVD Folder and ISO File to perform a directly disc to disc copy. Set output path for the copy under Save to if you choose DVD Folder or ISO File. And then start copying the disc by clicking the Copy button on the sidebar.
