Step 1. After installing Prof.Media on your computer, open it and the program will display 8 tabs on the main interface. After registering for the Blu-ray Ripper, click the Blu-ray Ripper icon from the main interface to open the Blu-ray Ripper module.

Step 2. Place the disc in your optical drive. Make sure the drive you use is a Blu-ray drive or it won’t be able to read your Blu-ray disc. Wait for a few seconds for the computer as well as the program to recognize the disc. Then click Add Blu-ray/DVD from the upper-left of the program and select Add from CD-ROM from the drop-down menu that appears later. Click on your disc to have the media files in the disc loaded in the program. Drag-n-drop is used by a lot of people during daily use and it also works with the program, you can open the Blu-ray folder and drag the folder to the program to import source files from the disc.

Step 3. After loading the disc, you can start picking the videos you need to rip from the video list provided to you on the left. There are 3 buttons provided for you to pick the videos you need quickly. Choose Full Movie and the program will help you select and rip all the videos to M4V. Select Main Movie and the program will help you pick out the main movie from the video list directly and have it ripped and converted later. Step 4. The videos you want will be picked out and listed on the following interface. This step is for setting the output format. The program have included all the supported format in the profile panel. To open the panel, first click the button with the MP4 Video label on it. That’s the Format button which shows the default format. And when another menu shows up, click the Change button on it and it’ll take you to the profile panel. As I’ve mentioned before, MP4 is the same format as M4V, so you can choose MP4 for output. There are several different MP4 profiles available. There’s the regular MP4, HD MP4 and even 4K MP4. Depending on the definition of the original Blu-ray movie, you can choose HD MP4 or even 4K if the original movie is 4K. Directly click on the ideal profile to set it as the default output format and return to the video list. You will see that the MP4 Video label on the Format button is changed to the profile you just chose.

Step 5. Now you only need to set the output directory and you are off to go. There’s a Convert button next to the Format button. Click on it and there will be a sidebar coming up from the right side of the program. You can change the default output directory if you want. Just click the button next to the output directory box to reset it. Then you can start to rip Blu-ray to M4V by clicking the Convert button below.
