Part 1: Remove AZW DRM from Kindle Desk APP

Step 1: Login into your Kindle APP

Ensure to have downloaded Kindle APP on your PC and enter your Amazon account to login. After launching the App, you will see the following interface.

Before you start to remove the Kindle DRM, you must ensure that the eBook you want to convert has been downloaded in the library. So you can enter into your Kindle library to check them on the “Downloaded Items”. If the book you want to remove DRM haven’t been downloaded, you can double click on the cover or right click to “download”.

Tips: For locating your downloaded books accurately, you can click “Tools>Options”

Tap “Content” button, you will see the directory you save the downloaded eBooks.

Step 2: Launch Prof. DRM to enter eBook DRM Remover

After you download and launch Leawo Prof. DRM, select the module of "eBook DRM Removal" as the following interface shows to remove DRM protection on Kindle.

Step 3: Add Kindle file you want to import

You can import the file by clicking “Add Files” on the sub-menu bar or you can directly drag the target file into the frame in the middle of program interface. Click “Add Files” button, you will see the “Kindle” button on the left side bar. And then click the refresh icon , all the downloaded books on your Kindle library will be listed on the right frame. And select the book you want to convert and click “Add” to import file into Leawo Prof. DRM.

Step 4: Set the output format

After importing the eBooks, you can view the file’s information by click button. And then you can choose an eBook file and click the “edit” button to freely choose the output format. Besides, you can also choose to “apply this output format to all eBook file” or “apply to current book only” under the “option” button.

Step 5: Choose the output directory

Click “…” output button at the bottom of “Home” list to set an output directory to save DRM-free output eBook freely.

Step 6: Remove DRM from Kindle eBook

Once all the settings are done, click the blue “Convert” button at the bottom for removing DRM from eBook in Kindle. And then convert to DRM-free format including epub, mobi, azw3, txt. After a while, the eBook DRM removal and conversion process will be completed.

Step 7: Check the Converted file

After the converting process finishes, you can click "Converted" button on the top right of "Converting" button to check all the converted file. And you can also click the file-like icon to find the location of these DRM-free eBook.

Part 2: Remove AZW DRM from Kindle Devices

If you have the Kindle device, Leawo Prof. DRM provides you a much easier way to unlock the DRM-encrypted eBook downloaded on Kindle.

Step 1: Connect Kindle to your computer

Connect your Kindle devices to your PC by using USB cable, and make sure the eBook you want to convert has been downloaded under the “document” folder.

Step 2: Import the file

After kicking off Leawo Prof. DRM, you can import the file by clicking “Add files” and then click refresh button on “E-Devices”. You will see books on the right panel, choose the ones you want to convert and click “Add” button to import books.

Notice: If you haven’t found the eBook you want to remove DRM on the list, you can check if the downloaded eBook are not saved under the “Document folder”. You can go to find it on your Kindle drive and then copy it into the documents folder.

Step 3: Edit output format to save

Tap the edit-like icon on the file and a new box will pop up for you to select output format. Meanwhile, you can also click “…” output button at the bottom of the interface to set an output directory for containing DRM-free output eBook.

Step 4: Remove DRM from Kindle eBook

Click the blue “Convert” button at the bottom for removing DRM-protected eBook from Kindle. After a while, the eBook DRM removal and conversion process will be completed. You will get a DRM-free eBook.
